General Machine And Boring Inc. has been serving the energy industry,
pump manufacturers, drive train(transmission) manufacturers,
and special machinery builders for 30 years.

In 1981, Allen Kastl Sr. started General Machine & Boring began machining parts out of his garage with a 2b-36 DeVlieg Jigmil, Bridgeport, Lathe, and surface grinders.

In 1984, Allen moved the company into a 3,000 square foot building in Wixom, MI, and General Machine & Boring was born.

By 1987, General Machine had nearly doubled in size, moving into a 5,800 square foot building in Wixom, MI. Then in 1999, General Machine moved again to Brighton, MI, once more doubling its size to a 12,000 square foot building where we operate presently.

Currently we are comprised of 12 machines with 20 employees operating two shifts, 6 days a week. We are a precision machine shop for a wide range of industries including Energy (nuclear, natural gas, oil, and water), thermal forming, military, automotive, and prototype. General Machine combines 30 years of knowledge and experience with an extraordinary commitment to quality and customer service to provide you with the best value in the business for your precision machining requirements in a timely manner.
